Evening primrose oil

This very special oil has been used to reduce the risk of heart disease, lowering cholesterol and reducing the risk of blood clots (decreased platelet aggregation).

Has also been used to control symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), to reduce chest pain and decrease the symptoms of cystic breast disease, and for skin conditions (eczema).

The Evening primrose oil has been used since the 1930s for eczema (a disease in which skin becomes inflamed, itching, flaking or due to allergies or other irritation), but more recently has been used for other conditions of participation inflammation, such as rheumatoid arthritis. (more…)

Today we will recommend some diets effective and easy to follow.

Starting with the South Beach diet, created by world-renowned cardiologist Arthur Agatston. This diet says allow the loss of up to six kilos in about two weeks thanks to good nutrition. The South Beach Diet is to his credit that can improve the level of bad cholesterol and triglycerides in our body, for that diet are divided into three phases. The first phase allowed eating all meat, vegetables and cheese in three balanced meals for 14 days, avoiding bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, fruit, sweets and alcoholic beverages. After these two weeks you will notice a physical difference and less anxious, that’s when you can go back to eating forbidden food before and then comes phase three, which consists of keeping the two steps as a way of life, if you notice a re-raise weight. Breastfeeding protects women from diabetes

Breastfeeding may reduce the risk of mother to metabolic syndrome, a disorder associated with heart disease and diabetes in women, according to a study by the Research Division of Kaiser Permanente in Oakland institution (United States).

This association was even higher in women who had gestational diabetes during pregnancy. The study results are published in the online edition of the journal ‘Diabetes’.

Breastfeeding reduces the risk of metabolic syndrome among 39 to 56 percent in women who have had gestational diabetes and between 44 and 86 percent in those who did, both depending on its duration. The researchers examined the duration of breastfeeding including the periods between 0-1 months and more than 9 months. (more…)
